Casual seating or should I say luxury...relaxing seating by Ivano Redaelli is a company I enjoy collaborating with for a number of my projects...The feeling and a true insight into European living pours from every detail of this range of furniture.....Detail in the design is important but the quality and the delivery of each piece is just as important...

when I design a living space ...I want people to feel relaxed...not create a staged space that only looks good when NOT lived in...Living spaces need to look good at all times...Casual smart and most of all somewhere to kick off your shoes and layback....

I HAVE FOUND THE PERFECT CHANDELIER!!!!!

I have been searching high and low for the perfect chandelier for the entrance to this project....

Finally I found it!!!!...not just beautifully designed...perfectly designed...

Now this is what designing is all about.  Giving birth to the perfect idea and making it happen...

Willow lamps are truly inspiring this chandelier from their collection is called the ‘FLOWER OF LIFE’.

Fingers crossed it fits into my budget!!!!!!!

7 years ago...I found the most beautiful Italianate villa deep in the Hills of Tuscany {starting to sound like the start of a romantic novel}...buts its true!...The property being slightly run down...but when I walked around this amazing house I found one room the ground floor lounge..It had amazing high ceilings arched windows with these beautifully hand painted roses crawling all round the walls and windows....I was memorized...slightly warn and aged but still beautiful

I Then came home and decided to experiment on my own wall...they looked amazing and everyone entering into my home commented on them...I then Interior Designed a clients Dining Kitchen area In Hale Cheshire this turned out to be the perfect place to paint these climbing Tea roses they look amazing....then a nursery in Prestbury Cheshire....The way the Tea Roses get painted onto the wall growing out of the corners then spreading themselves delicately around the room takes the squareness away from the room....

then frames the furniture...looks stunning without consuming alot of space

I promised I would never Interior design another room with these Roses again after I learnt that people where copying them ...I didn’t mind the fact they copied this idea is was more the fact they did it very badly...

so I thought no more Tea roses...

The I had this awkward spare room to Interior Design with sloping ceilings.....I wanted to inject a wall finish that didn’t enhance the awkwardness of this space...creating a feature wall would of done this...plus I am not a big fan of feature walls as we all ready know...

I then presented the idea to the client using the hand painted Tea roses but instead of the traditional rose pinks...let’s work with the colours of the room Coppers peacock greens and purples...

the client agreed and the rest is visual history....BEA utiful....

I gave birth to the idea to Interior design a fantasy bedroom for my client’s boy’s room....

Inspired by the Film Avatar...the feeling of the room having one look during the day...

But coming to life at night...just like the movie.  Little did I know it would take me on an

 Amazing journey to Indonesia....

How many designers would travel half way around the world to design and manufacture

 The most amazing bed you have ever seen....Yep that would be me...

HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT KITCHEN?????

Kitchens within the home are without doubt the most used & lived in place within your home.....They should be stylish well engineered and functional ....They should also be unique to your individual needs and surroundings....It never seized to amaze me why so many people Interior Designers and especially property dev elopers play the copy cat game when it comes down to selecting kitchens...it’s sad but true..If I had a fiver for every high end new build in Cheshire that has a Sematic Kitchen I would be able to go on a very nice holiday for 2 weeks...

 

There are so many wonderful unique stylish Kitchens out there that will enable you to select the style of kitchen you and your property desire...Don’t fall for the big shiny kitchen companies that charge the earth...which have zero design sense or input...these companies are only interested in how much how many...lead them to the curb!!!...choose a company that is passionate about Design, companies that understand product, kitchen functionality etc...  But most of all individuality!  Companies that are led by Mother Nature herself using all the elements combing product and impressive engineering to supply the consumer with a truly unique and timeless kitchen

Creating a very special space for a new life is one of the perks of my job...Magical ...pure and dreamy was by brief...
The colour palette that I chose to create a perfect magical nursery was strong white pewter/silver with a touch of Swarovski to finish......

The starting point to exquisite interior design is in the space creation & layout out of any property.

When I was presented with this project I felt that is was power mount to create a unique visual journey throughout.   I really did exhaust my creative mind stretching my imagination to the extreme to give my clients something very special and unique.

White polish plastered wall, metallic specialized finish to cornices, stylish combination of limestone with gold inlay’s...

 

THE STUDY

I feel that this space that I designed it defiantly one of my all time achievements

{ at present!}...making such a large space interesting unique in design....the feeling of a very well travelled room...this room with its unique shelf & display unit ...climbing up 2 floors framed by the perfect wrought iron balcony..I am very proud of my creative mind to give birth to a great design...This room will almost defiantly stand the test of time...

ITALIANATE NEW BUILD HALE CHESHIRE SPACE CREATION DESIGN BY LAURA MCCREE

I was commissioned to Interior Design an Italianate New Build in Hale Bowden...when the project was presented to me the internal space creation had completely no representation of the type of build.  The internal layout, fixture and fittings where like all the other new build that where {and are} popping up around Cheshire}...no design or thought process..just ticking the boxes 5 rooms 5 en suites kitchen study drawing room media room etc....Boring easy ...and most of all not desirable.

I wanted to give my client my all, and present to him that the Interiors- space creation of this property could be more like a journey and complete representation of the type of build....

I re designed the complete layout to the property, putting my complete heart & soul into the design. I wanted to show all of Cheshire how a 10,000 sq ft mansion should look like... creating more of an interesting path or journey within the property.  Injecting architectural features that where true to the type of build as well as creating unique designs i.e. stair case inlays of gold to stone floor decorative architraves & skirting with specialized finishes then there was the study!..I wanted this room to look like it had just spent a year travelling around the world...Articulate! I wanted people to feel this space not just see it...

All areas to this house and particularly this space are bespoke...it’s a painful process to give birth to an idea and making it happen is WAR!!


Giving Birth to an idea is the easy part...but getting your vision across to client and 
finding a company to make your idea happen sometimes can be the biggest challenge of all....
but it is worth it in the end..Just believe in yourself and your vision

The main staircase to this property was the first vision I got...when presented with the challenge of designing this Italianate property..The main staircase was a good starting point as it framed so many of this properties star features.
