GLAMOROUS CURTAIN DESIGN BY LAURA MCCREE INTERIOR DESIGNER The finishing touches to any well Interior designed room are the crucial moments of Interior Design. Detail in the dressing...simple procedures like steaming the curtains...fine tuning ...making sure they hang beautifully....contrasting shapes as well as textures ...these are the areas that can either over power a room or accentuate an area of a room...Curtain design is crucial to any Interior designed room blending colours or contrasting colour...window dressing is very similar if not the same a dressing oneself you have to look at the good bits as well as the bad bits and dress accordingly ...with that in mind you can create/design a very stylish window dressing.. For example: If you have low ceilings dressing a window with a straight padded pelmet with half height curtains would be a big mistake...a bit like a short lady wearing a maxi dress with flat shoes...not a great look! Much better for this type of window put shutter or some type of blind inside the recess of window then to finish {depending on the type of look} simple curtain pole with full length tube interlined curtains ...   |

CRYSTAL WHITE MARBLED BATHROOM DESIGNED By LAURA MCCREE

 There are certain elements that are extremely hard to work with and Crystal white marble is defiantly one of them. The most common problem when tiling is that once tiled you can get a shadow mark from the adhesive as the stone is very transparent. But through perseverance I worked out how you can overcome the problem and the result speaks for its self. |

To add interest into the space and to get the max out of the space I created within the space a floating wall, situated behind is the walk in shower. This enabled me to accentuate the height of this amazing Victorian property. The final touch being the decorative architrave which I silver leafed along with making the back wall a soft feature by adding silver leaf coated with a resin to make them suitable for bathrooms. |

Finding good specialist in any field is hard...but a good gilder is almost impossible!! Attention to detail is the art of any gilder...as they say it’s all in the prep!! I gave my polish plasterers an almost impossible task...to polish plaster around a panelled wall. They did a spectacular job...Black polish plaster and 24ct gold leaf...a marriage made in Heaven |

Private Client of Laura McCree requested for a bar area to be designed & installed into their rented accommodation in Prestbury Cheshire. Laura had to come up with a Design that could be easily installed and used whilst her client was living in the rented house...with the idea of when the client moves into their new home in London ...the bar can easily be re installed into the new home. |

The main frame of tall unit and free standing bar are made from Ash with a smoked Oak finish combined with tinted Grey mirror wrapped around the free standing bar and the effortless sliding door ...this bar area looks stylish - Glamorous without consuming to much space |

Designed unusual modular sofa upholstered in black chenille with a selection of Abaca Cushions I found in the Philippines ....the sofa was created to for a lounge area in a very large Master Bedroom. The Bedroom had amazing views so I wanted the sofa to be multi functional ...to seat comfortably watching TV or to lie on chaise side relaxing looking out at the splendid views of Nether Alderley…… |

I must be a frustrated artist...I find looking at Art sometimes totally tantalizing.... Art for me is meant to excite the senses or desires.....What fascinates me more than anything is the desires you can get when walking into a beautiful almost organic space and seeing a big powerful piece of art that shouts...SEX! BEAUTY! LOVE! ...Sets off ones emotions inside and out...And the Art I choose has to touch all those senses...sight ...touch...& sometimes sound... |
